When is the right time to hire a designer?
The early involvement of a designer is crucial for new construction or renovations. An interior designer specializes in how a space flows, how it feels, and how it functions for your lifestyle. By collaborating with other professionals in the industry, like architects and builders, we create a well-rounded team that delivers the best, from the interior to the exterior, from the structure to everything within it.
Furnishing projects, on the other hand, require fewer team members and the timing is up to you. However, keep in mind that speaking with a designer early (even if we don’t start working together right away) can help you avoid mistakes and put your best foot forward when the timing is right.
What areas do you serve?
McClure Interiors happily serves two locations: Naperville, IL, including Andover, White Eagle, Stonebridge, Aurora, and other parts of Chicagoland, and Wichita, KS, including East Wichita, Andover, Derby, and the surrounding areas.
Who will I be working with?
McClure Interiors is owned and operated by Jennifer McClure Hobbs, who serves as Principal Designer. Although we have an extended team of trades and assistants, Jennifer loves building relationships with each client, which she believes makes the outcome so special. It’s a connection she doesn’t plan to give up!
This one-on-one, boutique design service is another advantage of working with Jennifer. You get the personalized attention of an expert with your best interests at heart.
How would you describe your style?
More importantly, what’s your style? We’re committed to creating one-of-a-kind spaces that celebrate our clients’ tastes, routines, and visions for their spaces. This is precisely why no two projects of ours are the same!
That said, our clients do share a love for comfortable spaces, livable luxury, functional space planning, timelessness, and the occasional pop (or big dose) of inspiring color. We look forward to helping you bring your own design vision to life.
How long will my project take?
The length of your design project will depend on factors like scope, material selections, lead times, labor and product availability, and more. Safe to say, predicting the length of a design project is impossible without having some context!
Once we can discuss the general parameters of your project, we’ll be able to give you a general idea for the timeline. Of course, as we move forward with the design process, we will refine the timeline even further, ensuring complete clarity and efficiency every step of the way. To start the conversation, book a Discovery Call with Jennifer.
What can I expect to invest in my project?
Like timelines, it is impossible to predict a project’s investment without knowing more about it. For example, renovating two homes, or two businesses, that are identical in size could result in two very different investments.
Together, we will identify the important details, get an idea for your desired overall investment, and create a strategic line-itemed budget that feels just right for you. To learn more, book a Discovery Call with Jennifer.
Do I need to purchase my materials and furnishings through you?
Not necessarily. Our process is rare in that we don’t require our clients to commit to full-service design. If you would like exact specifications and source links to procure materials on your own (or have your builder procure materials), that’s more than okay!
If you do choose to enlist our help with procurement, then yes, we will purchase your furnishings for you through our network of trusted vendors. We have built this exclusive network over our 12+ years in the industry, which results in top-quality products, endless options for customization, and peerless customer service for you.
What is the first step to working together?
If you’re interested in working together, the first step is to schedule a call with Jennifer. Together, you can discuss the scope of your project and see if there’s a good fit. If so, Jennifer will set up your first working appointment, the Project Assessment. To get started, book a Discovery Call here.
